Does anyone know the laws in Huxley for pitbulls? If so could you please let me know.

I think that people have every right to be afraid of pitbulls, but good owners have every right to love thier dog!
Mine is just a big baby I guess its just the way you raise them. Wheres thier law?

Pit bulls have the killer instinct in them. They are especially dangerous to children.

I understand how you feel most pitbulls are trianed to be mean, my baby named lucy has been raised around childern and in the 4 years that I have had her all she ever has done wrong is tear up my newspaper when I leave. I know that all dogs are not the same as mine and I would be afraid of getting another different pit but 1 out of 100 are great dogs so I do agree with you about them but lucy is as sweet as a butterfly.

Pits are a wonderful dog. Very people loving and kind. If they are with people who teach them right and wrong early on they are great. Mine loves everyone. Sometimes I wish he didn't but he is great with babies and children. You have to be a person who spends time with them and exercise a lot. He does love to hunt and small animals are prey to him. But the same can be said about a lot of breeds of dogs. I hope people will give these dogs a chance. We have to be responible owners of all animals.

Making laws against pit bulls or other so called vicious dogs does not help the situation. People end up dumping dogs in the country and then you have problems

Any dog can be trained to be aggressive. If a dog has to fight, they learn how to become effective or die. Compare dogs with people participating in the UFC...until they get some matches under their belt, they are not very effective but they learn how to hurt the competitor quicker to avoid being hurt quicker oneself. A Pit has been bred for strength and trained for aggression. If the aggression is replaced with love and devotion, the handler can expect the same from the Pit. There isn't any bad dogs, just bad handlers.
